What begins as a deceptively dull first five minutes quickly transforms into a rewarding and moderately challenging 4.4-mile trek in South Palm Springs. The well-maintained path steadily climbs 1,276 feet, offering a great workout for hikers of all levels. As you ascend, look for blooming prickly pears and elusive bighorn sheep. The true spectacle awaits at the summit: 360-degree views of the Indian Canyons, the sprawling city, and a California fan palm oasis. To access the trail, take South Palm Canyon Drive toward the Indian Canyons, turn left onto Bogert Trail, and park in the dirt lot at the end.
