Just Fabulous

Expect good vibes and fun times while perusing this chic boutique’s whimsical gifts, sophisticated home décor, limited-edition art, cheeky cards, kids’ items, and other ephemera curated by owner Stephen Monkarsh. “I named it Just Fabulous for a reason,” Monkarsh says. “I choose products that inspire our clients to unleash their unique sense of ‘fabulous’ each time they visit the store — whether online or in person.”

With that goal in mind, Monkarsh opened Just Fabulous Home in a Spanish hacienda steps away from the flagship boutique’s courtyard entrance. “This second location focuses on items to live your best life at home,” he explains.

Wabi Sabi Japan Living owners Darrell Baum and Osamu Sagara are well-versed in Japanese design. Their downtown Palm Springs home goods store reflects that expertise, specializing in Japanese tableware, cookware, high-quality kitchen knives, Japanese whisky, sake, and other specialty items traditionally seen in Nipponese culture.

Each year, they travel to Sagara’s home country not only to visit family and friends but also to source new products for the store. Their deep passion for Japan’s time-honored customs inspired them to open the space and share these traditions and tools with their Greater Palm Springs neighbors.
