40 Under 40: 2025 Honoree

Chase Owens

Realtor, Coldwell Banker Realty

Chase Owens likes to say he wears three hats: real estate agent, interior designer, and marriage counselor. “I love being a buyer’s agent,” he says. “Taking clients in the car for a weekend to see 34 houses, showing them around the neighborhood, helping them see their next step, their next chapter in life … It’s the working-with-people part that I fell in love with.”

Raised in Texas, Owens comes from a family of real estate pros but moved to Palm Springs in 2019, drawn by the blue skies and small-town feel. “Everyone knows everyone,” he says of the desert. “You see the same servers, the same restaurant owners. It’s a family vibe.”

Owens ranks among the top-selling agents in the Coachella Valley. In April, he represented the buyer of a record-setting Rancho Mirage sale, a  $16 million property that closed in just seven days — the priciest sale in city history. A desire to share the sun-soaked lifestyle drives him. “Palm Springs sold me, so I just want to bring everyone here,” he muses. “Why isn’t everyone out here?”

Owens also chairs the Grievance Committee for Greater Palm Springs Realtors, bolstering client protection and ethical standards among agents.

What matters most to him, though, are the relationships that last well beyond closing day. “The money’s nice, but if that’s what you’re focused on, people can feel that. The real reward is helping someone find their home and start that next chapter.”
