During the pandemic, our Saturday mornings settled into a new rhythm — cleaning house, doing laundry, and eventually, heading out together to satisfy those midday hunger pangs. That’s when my husband and I rediscovered Palm Greens Café, which quickly became our go-to for brunch.

After we’d spent months cooking at home, healthy eating had become a priority. Palm Greens, a mostly vegan café in Palm Springs, offered lighter, more nourishing options like salads, wraps, bowls, juices, and smoothies. My husband, Neil, swears by the Breakfast Bowl — packed with tofu, black beans, brown rice, sautéed greens, corn tortillas, and a spicy sauce. My personal favorite? The Breakfast Platter: two gluten-free blueberry pancakes topped with strawberries and blueberries, and a drizzle of maple syrup, served with scrambled eggs, vegan sausage, and fresh coffee, of course. The best part? The two regular (and undeniably charming) servers know our order by heart and always greet us with a smile. One of them curates the café’s music, spinning the perfect vibe for a relaxed morning.
Palm Greens Café has been a constant in Palm Springs since opening in 2008. We’ve watched the business grow from a counter-service spot to a full-service restaurant — still casual, with options for takeout or dining in, and a menu that can satisfy just about anyone’s midday hunger pangs.
