Splash House founder Tyler McLean saw no reason summer in Greater Palm Springs couldn’t be just as much of a party as peak season. “I believed in my hometown,” he says. “I wanted to give people a reason to come here in the summer, and I wanted to pair music with Palm Springs’ amazing hotels and pools.”
The bet paid off. Now in its 12th year, Splash House has become a summer staple — an electronic music fest–meets–pool party spread across two weekends and three Palm Springs resorts. Its lineup has welcomed industry giants like Kygo, Odesza, and John Summit with fans bouncing between poolside stages at the Saguaro, Renaissance, and Riviera by shuttle.

Most attendees book a room at one of the host hotels, so the music — and plenty of potential friends — are right outside their doors. “It’s this beautiful, fun playground of an atmosphere,” McClean says. After dark, the party continues under the stars at Palm Springs Air Museum.
Beyond the dance floor, there’s more to explore. Splash House has recently begun hosting “field trips” to local businesses for other activities, from drag brunches to shindigs at Palm Springs Surf Club. You might even pick up a new skill. “Last year, we had DJing and music production classes,” McClean says. “We’re excited to build on that this year.”
